Solar, Wind and other sources of Alternative Energy have never had as much exposure as it has now. Two factors have driven such awareness. One is concern over climate changes and the other concern of depleting non-renewable resources.

Fortunately most experts believe there is still time to take steps to avoid planetary disaster. I'm not saying damage hasn't already been done because that is obvious. What I am saying is there is still time to change the way we live on planet Earth before we reach a point of no return.

It is noticeable that more people are taking measures to conserve and switch to alternative methods of energy on their own even without incentives. Solar and Wind have taken a back seat in the past but now is moving to the forefront. In addition to purchasing systems it is now possible to purchase kits online that allow you to make your own solar and wind system for a lot less.

Having your own energy system not only drastically cuts or eliminates the electric bill but income can also be earned as excess power is fed back to the local utility company. It doesn't get any better than that for only the initial cost of setting up a system.

The sun and wind have been around for eons but now it's good to know it's benefits are being put to use for more than just a sunny day with a pleasant breeze. Now when the sun rises or wind blows, money, (and the planet) can be saved.
